& OTHER STORIES INVITES CAMILLE BIDAULT-WADDINGTON TO SHARE HER STYLE STORY WITH US
& Other Stories is known for the unique personal touch it often adds to its collections – whether this is with ad campaigns celebrating women in all shapes and sizes, or its “Style Stories”, a series in which creatives are invited to create their very own looks from the pieces of the recent collections. Elisa Nalin, Susie Bubble, Alice Goddard, Ada Kokosar, Garance Doré or Bea Åkerlund are just a few of the impressive women who have previously put their own spin on the brand’s modern designs. For their Autumn/Winter 18 Capsule Collection, the Swedes have now asked no other than stylist and style icon Camille Bidault-Waddington to share her personal “Style Story” with us.
The Parisian is known for her surprising and unexpected way of styling and layering her looks. “When it comes to styling, I love to create a little character for myself and add to that a small story with contradictions and a little bit of eccentricity,” she says. “I like it to give an old-fashioned skirt something mysterious by adding a shirt or some statement jewelry.”
The “Style Story” was shot in her apartment in Paris – packed with magazines, artwork, vinyls and her favourite literature, a setting that radiates her vibrant personality even more. And is the perfect backdrop for the outfits she selected – simple staple pieces like trenchcoats, turtlenecks or white blouses that are given a new twist with reptile patterned heels, a layered chiffon dress or a pencil skirt. The colour palette ranges from creme white to camel and nuances of autumny green. “Just stay with your favourite colours and textures and spice things up with some adventurousness – that’s my credo,” she comments.
Camille Bidault-Warrington’s “Style Story” drops on the 3rd of September in all stores and online at stories.com.
And if those weren’t already enough good news – & other stories will also open its first Vienna store at Kärtner Straße 7 that day, finally bringing their fashion to Austria too.
