“YOU COULD BE ME”: BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN THE HUMAN AND THE SCULPTURAL
Shot in a sculpture lab in Milan, Italian photographer Giulia Albertini’s editorial takes inspiration from a scene in Bernardo Bertolucci’s film The Dreamers, where the picturesque Isabelle (Eva Green), walking out of a dark room wearing black gloves, looks more sculpture than human. “This scene gave me something,” says Albertini, “and I started to think about a place where human beauty and art collide together”. The result? A beautiful dialogue between the model and the sculptures surrounding her—and, if you’re lucky, you too.
