EDDA GIMNES LAUNCHES CAPSULE COLLECTION FOR JOSEPH JANARD
“Her dreamy designs make me excited to see what she does next after this first project!” said Alber Elbaz of Oslo-born Edda Gimnes after she was named “Designer for Tomorrow 2016” with a graphic black-and-white collection. She went on to receive praise from the jury at Berlin Fashion Week.
Since then, Edda, guided and supported by the “Designer for Tomorrow” program, has been making her first forays into fashion. She has stayed true to her signature graphic style, and after an internship at established brand Joseph Janard in Düsseldorf, has worked in collaboration with the womenswear label’s team to produce a capsule collection comprising seven pieces; her self-described “lively, strong, playful” prints take center stage.
