PALLAS PARIS x CLAIRE THOMSON-JONVILLE IS THE CAPSULE OF OUR DREAMS
The premise of Pallas Paris’s new collaboration with Self Service‘s Clare Thomson-Jonville is simple: luxury staples that offer the perfect marriage of French elegance and British coolness, courtesy of Pallas Paris’s impeccable tailoring and CTJ’s smart eye for design. From the classic trench to the sexy masculine suit, these are pieces that you’ve always wanted to own but never been able to track down; pieces that maintain the same elusively cool quality found in old Kate Moss and Corinne Day editorials, while still managing to look incredibly of-the-moment.
This wasn’t CTJ’s first introduction to Pallas. Prior to the capsule, the Brit-turned-Parisian had been ordering custom-made ensembles for herself, impeccably tailored tuxedos and trousers that played well into a wardrobe which she describes as ‘easy, tomboy, throw it on’. Last fall, this client relationship blossomed into something more—a phone call turned into coffee and, before either CTJ or label owner Daniel Pallas knew it, a nine-piece collection was born.
Modeled by the ever-ethereal Edie Campbell, the capsule’s lookbook stands as the perfect testament to the greatness that can come from combining these two minds. Not only do the clothes look good, but they are also palpably made with great care and thought: the trousers are cut to work with sneakers, the blazers hit at the most flattering length. These are pieces that can see being incorporated seamlessly into our favourite women’s wardrobes, pieces that truly, as Thomson-Jonville puts it, “stand the test of time.” And we couldn’t be more excited.
