THE MATERIAL GUIDE TO YOUR PERFECT WEEKEND GETAWAY

With countless studies depicting the increasing stress levels of our day to day lives and the constant demand of social media continuously turning the world around us into an unpredictable roller coaster ride, it has become all the more important to take time to regularly plug out of the constant stress and turmoil marking your environment. And what better way to do so than by literally driving away from whatever it is that is bringing you down – and be that escape plan just for the weekend. Letting a breeze blow through our hair and with that a fresh set of thoughts into our minds, we recently discovered one of those perfect weekend getaway spots on a road trip right through the outskirts of the Bavarian alps.

Our destination: The Lanserhof medical centre and hotel located near the Tegernsee in the very south of Germany, just about an hour drive away from Munich where our journey started at the BMW Headquarters. Hopping into one of the new BMW Convertible, we enjoyed a short trip through the picturesque landscape of Bavaria and right to the Lanserhof, nestled in between forests and fields, currently the most modern medical centre of Europe, offering a variety of spa treatments and detoxing procedures. And our relaxing timeout didn’t just start there but began right with our trip to the Lanserhof, getting to test one of the just released new editions of the BMW Convertible, first introduced in 2013 and since complemented by the BMW Cabrio and the BMW Gran Convertible, as well as two new colour concepts, Snapper Rocks Blue and Sunset Orange. Perfectly equipped for a refreshing time and just far enough from the city to leave all dust and dirt behind, we fully indulged in our foray into nature – with clean air and a clear mind.
