YOUR FIRST LOOK AT THE OPENING CEREMONY X ESPRIT COLLECTION

After the success of the first collaboration between NY label Opening Ceremony and the German fashion brand ESPRIT last November, a second collection launches today. Inspired by global youth culture and a flashback to ESPRIT’s fashion from the 80s and 90s, the Opening Ceremony x Esprit collabo consists of t-shirts, caps and hoodies spiked with a bright-colored logo, matching vintage sets, wildly patterned men’s shirts and iconic retro accessories like fisherman’s hats and fanny packs.

Masterminds Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, the faces behind Opening Ceremony and ESPRIT Chief brand marketing officer Arnd Müller wanted to create clothes that reflect the free spirit of both labels, a spirit that doesn’t set boundaries in fashion, but allows everyone to put their individual stamp on the looks.

Accompanied by a video campaign with Coco Gordon, daughter of Sonic Youth singer Kim Gordon, and musician Arsun Sorrenti, shot by photography genius Matt Jones, Opening Ceremony X ESPRIT knows how to get us excited.

The collection will be available in all Opening Ceremony boutiques as well as some selected department stores like Kith (USA), i.T. (HK) and KaDeWe (Berlin) and pop-up shops in Hong Kong and Amsterdam. We cannot wait to flock to our nearest store or try to get our hands on one of the pieces through the Opening Ceremony website.
