STYLIST ALMUT VOGEL WANTS YOU TO WEAR THE LATEST HEADWEAR DOWN BY THE HARBOUR
For Material Magazine’s ‘Women Who Create’ issue, we asked German stylist Almut Vogel to take her spin on headwear. The result is her interpretation of bold, colourful statement hats inspired by the Russian Ushanka, toned-down nineties fisherman caps and bowlers, reminiscent of London in the eighties. By using a harbour as the backdrop, photographer Phil Engelhardt puts the hats into their practical context and turns their haute couture spirit into wearability.
