The british fashion icon Alexa Chung is launching her very own brand in May this year. The 32 year old model and TV presenter is known for her effortless signature style often times featuring leather jackets over light dresses and shirts with Peter Pan collars or high-waisted denim jeans. Pictures of the collection that will launch in spring are yet to be released.

Fashion darling Alexa Chung looks back on a long story of prestigious and exciting collaborations with several brands ranging from AG Jeans to Marks & Spencer. She is a muse and an inspiration to many designers: when Mulberry designed a bag named after her, it immediately increased their sales. Her style even inspires art lovers like the two sisters behind this amazing Instagram account comparing pictures of the style icon to famous paintings.

Her very own collection will be available from spring on in department stores such as Selfridges or Galeries Lafayette. Chung wanted a line of clothes that is accessible to everyone including the people she inspires in the streets.

Her namesake line Alexachung, will range from denim pieces to day- and eveningwear, as well as shoes and accessories. She will work as a creative director to a team of six people. Alexa Chung surrounds herself with high level creatives such as the former head of atelier at Haider Ackerman, Edwin Bodson, who is the managing director of Chung’s brand.

So, will your spring style have a British touch this season?
